Holiday regions in Turkey

You can break Turkey in to three main tourist regions each offering something different. The Aegean Coast region of Turkey includes these resorts/towns: Altinkum, Bitez, Bodrum, Gumbet, Gundogan, Kusadasi, Ortakent, Torba, Turgutreis, Turkbuku or Yalikavak with charter flights to Bodrum airport (BJV) and/or to Izmir airport (ADB) for Altinkum, Kusadasi or Izmir. The ancient port towns of Kusadasi and Bodrum have re-invented themselves as modern-day resorts with well-developed tourist infrastructures and are great for family holidays. The Turkish Riviera region includes: Alanya, Antalya, Belek, Kemer, Konakli, Manavgat and Side all of which are serviced from Antalya airport (AYT). The region can boast more affordable five-star all inclusive hotels than anywhere else in the Med. The sea and sun, nature and history and more than a thousand kilometers of shoreline of the region is strewn with ancient cities and harbours, memorial tombs and beaches and it is laced with little coves, lush forests and streams also making it a great area for family holidays. The West Turkey region includes: Fethiye, Hisaronu, Icmeler, Marmaris and Olu Deniz, which are serviced from Dalaman airport (DLM). West Turkey is where the Aegean and the Mediterranean sea meets the green of the hills - nature, the sea and ancient civilizations all come together. The top family friendly resort is Marmaris which has everything to offer the holidaymaker including a ice skating rink.
